Colorful And Convivial, Festive And Friendly In Nigeria

With swimmers from around Nigeria and Ghana, the 2014 Lagos Open Water Swimming Championships were successfully held once again on Victoria Island in Nigeria.

Dino Ibraku of Rivers State and Akina Bilibor of Oyo State won the men’s and women’s divisions at the 2014 Lagos Open Water Swimming Championships held on Victoria Island in Nigeria.

Ibraku beat Nigerian Olympian Yellow Yeiyah of Rivers State and Bare Dune of Bayelsa State to win the men’s 2 km race which was part of the annual Lagos Boat Regatta.

Akina Bilibor of Oyo State won the women’s 1 km championship race over Rachael Tonjor of Lagos State and Ibukun Ademolekun of Oyo State.

Reverend Samuel Jesimiel, Chairman of the Lagos State Swimming Association, was very happy with the event that continues to grow.
