Connor Albertyn Leads 50 Who Did 8

50 swimmers completed the 8 Mile event at the 2020 aQuellé Midmar Mile, raising hundreds of thousands of rand for charities in South Africa.

The 8 Mile Charity Club must complete 8 one-mile swims over the course of the 2-day aQuellé Midmar Mile.

Stan Kozlowski started the idea of swimming all 8 miles to raise funds for the Wildlands Conservation Trust in 2001.

As soon as they complete one 1-mile swim, they head back to the starting line and do it again 8 times. Members of the 8 Mile Club wear a special gold-colored swim cap.
