Amy Ennion (Great Britain) – World Open Water Swimming Association

Amy Ennion was the first person to complete a swim from Guernsey in the Channel Islands to France in 15 hours 59 minutes.

The English Channel swimmer and Jersey-to-France swimmer pioneered a swim that had not yet been accomplished while raising money towards bowel cancer charities in memory of her father who passed away earlier in the year.

Why she was nominated

For training so diligently and humbly establishing a following on social media where she shares her training plans and chats about her preparations and for expressing powerful thoughts and inspirations about and for women.
