At the IISA® World Cup, Alisa Fatum outswam all men and women in her 12 minute 49 second Ice Kilometer, beating Olympian Rostislav Vítek, world champion Christof Wandratsch, American star Colin Bushweller, and Dutch icon Fergil Hesterman while averaging 1:16.9 per 100m.

Why it was nominated

For swimming only 4 tenths of a second slower than her existing Ice Kilometer World Record of 12:48:60, for swimming the 11th fastest Ice Kilometer in history, and for elevating the expectations of women in The Ice,
