Irish Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming (Ireland) – World Open Water Swimming Association

Established in 2021 by The Irish Long Distance Swimming Association, Irish Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming is a 3-part series consisting of the 21 km Fastnet Swim between Fastnet Rock and Baltimore Pier, the 13 km Galway Bay Swim between Aughinish in Clare and Blackrock Diving Tower in Salthill, and the 35 km North Channel crossing between Northern Ireland and Scotland.

These are the toughest swims in Ireland that live up to their reputations of being very cold with difficult currents, and venomous Lion’s Mane jellyfish.
