A group of locals completed a casual fall Sunday morning swim in Beverly, Massachusetts near Mystery Island. They finished their swim and heard that the famous marathon swimmer and ice swimmer Martha Wood swims nearby throughout the year including during the harsh winter months when the shoreline is covered in snow and the water always hovers under 5 degrees C

The water was 19 degrees C under bright sunny skies and half a foot surf break with negligible winds
