Race For The Conch Eco-SeaSwim (Turks & Caicos) – World Open Water Swimming Association

Race For The Conch Eco-SeaSwim is a series of short, very warm, gorgeous sea swims in Grace Bay in Turks & Caicos in the Caribbean Sea with distances that range from 0.5 mile and 1 mile to 2.4 miles.

It is held at a venue that has been called the “The Best Beach in the World”.
The race is held in calm, clear, turquoise waters that is very welcoming to newcomers and remains incredibly inviting to swimmers who return year after year.

Why it was Nominated

For its friendly, laid-back atmosphere and for its easy-to-race, easy-to-navigate courses that brings wide smiles to the faces of the participants, and for the fantastic specially hand-carved conch trophies awarded to the top three male and top three female swimmers for each race and the youngest and oldest swimmers, and for its sunset evening awards ceremony and party on the beach.
