I’m excited to announce that I’ll be doing a series of FREE dryland training webinars beginning this week and through the next few months. I’ll be teaching on the dryland topics I get the most questions about.
And the first topic will be core training! This is by far the most popular topic that I hear questions about. And it’s not surprisingly either because of how important a strong core can be for a swimmer!
I’d even argue it’s even MORE important for open water swimmers because of the distances covered. The more endurance is needed the more important core training is to transfer your energy effectively for the entire distance you’re swimming.
Even if your core strength isn’t where it needs you should still attend the webinar! I’ll begin with the very basics, including a quick core strength test you can do to see what’s the best intensity for you to start with.
