Dan Projansky, Channeling A Special Warrior Within

This August at the Swim4Freedom event, Dan Projansky will repeat for the fourth time his 8.2-mile (13.2 km) butterfly swim across Geneva Lake in Wisconsin.

His goal, besides sore shoulders, is to raise money for The Special Operations Warrior Foundation.

Projansky’s swim is to support the Warrior Foundation that provides a college education to every child who has lost a parent while serving in Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps Special Operations during a mission.

The Warrior Foundation is committed to providing scholarship grants to 760 children of Special Operations personnel who gave their lives in patriotic service to their country. To date, the Special Operations Warrior Foundation has provided over $750,000 to wounded special operations personnel. “Raising funds for Warrior Foundation has special meaning for me,” explains Projansky. “Since I was unfortunate in that I did not have kids of my own, this provides me the opportunity to help someone else’s kids and to chip in towards our efforts to fend off terrorism and to help make things safer here in the USA. Any amount that you can give is greatly appreciated.
