Dr. William “Davis” Lee, a physicist from Man-O-War Cay in the Bahamas, took his talents from the tropical warm waters of the Caribbean to the rougher, colder waters of the Triple Crown.

Dr. Lee, who received his doctorate in physics from MIT, completed the Manhattan Island Marathon Swim in 2012 to become the 50th member of the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming. In 2010, he completed a crossing of the English Channel in 12 hours 41 minutes and a crossing of the Catalina Channel in 2011 in 9 hours 46 minutes.
