Doug Hughson reported the newest additions to swimmers who have completed the 34 km Derwent River Big Swim in Hobart, Tasmania in his native Australia, “Over the last month, James Clothier, Anna Strachan, Joy Symons, Jayde Richardson, and Zen Durbidge completed the 34 km course that is part of the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming Australia.”

1st on 25 January 1975: Des Renford in 10 hours 54 minutes, first person to complete the swim
2nd on 26 January 1976: Dick Campion in 9 hours 19 minutes
3rd on 26 January 1976: Jenny Anderson in 9 hours 44 minutes
