Dr. Roger Allsopp Joins Thousands In Guernsey

This year’s event at Cobo Bay raised £8,000 for the Guernsey Cheshire Home for the physically disabled. And, like many reports of Polar Bear Swims and dips in the cold water coming in from around the world, the number of participants doubled from last year.
Jurat Stephen Jones, chairman of the Guernsey Cheshire Home, said: “It’s a lovely Guernsey event. How lucky are we today with the sunshine. It’s a great thing after Christmas Day to get outside. Our beaches here are so lovely. I can’t think of anything better myself.”
