Mizuno Corporation offered colored, number-stamped swim caps to the athletes of the 2014 Japan Open Water Swimming Championships in Tateyama.

The numbered swim caps are quite easy to see in the water, especially for the race officials, coaches, media and turn judges.

The men all wore blue-colored caps and the women all wore pink-colored caps.

Lower photo shows the athletes walking in the water according to their numbers to the in-the-water start at the Open Water Swimming Japan Open Tateyama (オープンウォータースイミング ジャパンオープン2014館山) with 10 km men in blue, the 10 km women in pink, and the 5 km amateur field in white swim caps.
