Edie Hu became the third person in history to complete a 45 km swim around Hong Kong Island.

She finished in 12 hours 35 minutes as a charity swim to benefit the Splash Foundation.

Following in the wake of the only two swimmers to accomplish the feat (Linda McGill in 1976 (17 hours 6 minutes) and Simon Holliday (12 hours 32 minutes) in 2017), Hu started at the Sai Wan Swimming Shed near Kennedy Town, continued clockwise through Victoria Harbour, pastShek O, Stanley and Ap Lei Chau, and then finished back in Sai Wan.
