Elizabeth Berns Makes A Splish In The Cayman Islands

“We hit some strong oncoming currents on the way back,” recalled Berns who swam with Alex Harling, Kerri Kanuga and Andrea Roach. “We make the crossings according to the Channel rules and spent no more than 10 minutes resting between the first and second leg.”
This year, the personable open water swimmer was more modest in her goals. Today, she enjoyed the one-mile Flowers Sea Swim for the third consecutive year. “It was great. This was my third year doing it. The conditions were good and the event always draws so many people to the sea.”
Berns is outfitted in one of her favoriate Splish swimwear.
