Emma Otto-Moudry Can WOW The Crowd

Emma Otto-Moudry headlines the field at this weekend’s WOWSA World 10-mile Championships at the Kingdom Swim in Vermont.

The 18-year-old high school senior from Ithaca, New York has an impressive marathon swimming pedigree despite her youth. She holds the fastest Ederle Swim course record in 4 hours 38 minutes and finished second in 2011. She has finished four 10 km Little Red Lighthouse Swims and the 2012 Manhattan Island Marathon Swim. She finished second overall in the 2012 Kingdom Swim course in 4 hours 20 minutes so she knows what to expect out in the Lake Memphremagog course. And she is coached by English Channel and Catalina Channel record holder Penny Dean.

The female entrants to the Kingdom Swim 10-Miler include Emma Otto-Moudry, Kristin Jones, Alexis Riffel, Dani Stein, Laura Kenny, Kimberly Plewa, Elaine Howley, Abigail Fairman, Karen Vasso, Nicole Hirschman, Alison Meehan, Jennifer Dutton, Lesley Fanning, Christine Moats, Pam Dolan, Lynne Ascione, Charlotte Brynn, Nancy Davidson, Janet Manning, Laura Scarpinato, Ann von Spiegelfeld, Susan Kirk, Denise Brown, Genevieve Mackwood, and Paula Yankauskas.
