Enjoy Being BLUE

Debbie Kinder has created something powerful and profound.

Every two years, Debbie brings together ocean leaders, filmmakers, photographers, scientists, explorers and entertainment executives gather in Monterey, California at BLUE to honor the best in ocean filmmaking, to learn more about the issues facing our oceans, and to collaborate on improving the future of the oceans.

Between September 24-30, BLUE will honor the world’s best ocean films, promote dialog between filmmakers and scientists in order to inspire great films, connect ocean filmmakers with the latest technology, financing and distribution resources.

Its BLUE Ocean Film Festival screens over 100 films and showcases stellar ocean photography. All events are open to the general public and offer the opportunity to attend parties to mingle with filmmakers, celebrities and industry executives. Its Conservation Summit, world-class speakers and panels impart the latest science, share insight, debate issues and challenge audiences to be proactive.

As a result, BLUE on Tour takes this collection of films and conservation programs to audiences around the world. Its goal is to reach communities and audiences that do not have access to these films and the stories they share. By broadening the reach of these films BLUE hopes to inspire greater awareness and action on behalf of the world’s oceans.
