Entrants in FINA World Championships Mixed 6 km Relay

The 6 km race is the opening race of the open water swimming program at the 2022 FINA World Championships and will be held in Lake Lupa, Hungary. The relay consists of two male and two female swimmers each racing 1500m.

Teams can decide the order of their swimmers, although in the first FINA competitive setting, all the countries opened up with the female swimmers and closed with their male teammates. There will be 22 national teams entered in the race with several 2020 Tokyo Olympic swimmers participating:

Fun fact: the lake water is good enough to drink. Located 15 minutes from Budapest, the lake holds the same water that residents of the Hungarian capital drink and use. The water quality is 99.2% drinking water with 0.8% includes chlorine which is added before pumping the water to the municipal pipes.
