Courtesy of Fran Crippen Elevation Foundation.Fran Crippen Elevation Foundation awarded its Work the Dream Grant to long-time American national open water swimming team member Eva Fabian who is currently working and living in Manhattan, New York.
Fabian writes, “I am incredibly thankful to the Fran Crippen Elevation Foundation for the Work the Dream grant, and for all of the amazing opportunities the grant afforded has me. The Fran Crippen Elevation Foundation is unique in its support of athletes and their dreams. In addition to providing invaluable financial support to athletes hoping to continue their careers, the Fran Crippen Elevation Foundation is a committed leader in advocating for athlete safety, and for continuing to honor Fran’s legacy in the sport of swimming.
I had the honor of competing alongside Fran on many USA teams, and my life is forever richer for having known him.
The Fran Crippen Elevation Foundation awards grants to athletes that honor Fran’s legacy; athletes who embody his leadership skills and passion for helping others to be their best. By doing so, the Fran Crippen Elevation Foundation embodies these very same qualities as an organization. Thank you Fran Crippen Elevation Foundation, for your commitment to athletes, and for being an advocate for safety in sport at all levels of competition.
Thank you for providing me with the means to pursue my career goals, and for honoring me with the Work the Dream grant in Fran’s memory.”
