The WOWSA Awards was founded in 2008 to celebrate the incredible innovation and accomplishments in our sport.

This year we are changing the voting rules so the WOWSA Awards remains focused on the nominees and their achievements and not just a popular vote.

These are swimmers, coaches and associations from the open water swimming community with verified profiles in the WOWSA directory.
If you are an open water swimmer or coach. Please sign up and add your listing in the directory for free.
Registered WOWSA users without WOWSA verified profiles = 1 vote
We encourage all swimmers, coaches, event organizers, kayakers, volunteers, observers or other contributors to the open water swimming community to add their profile to the WOWSA directory so their vote is weighted accordingly.

NOTICE: This year the public vote count will not be shown throughout the contest so as to not sway voter sentiment and to increase the enjoyment, awe and discovery of these wonderful open water swimming women, men, events and products.
Once the contest ends, our tech team will tally votes against our verified user base emails and make the calculation X 10 for verified users – also after bots, duplicates and fake emails have been removed. The vote count will be shown at the end of the contest.
