FINA announced online registration for its first FINA World Aquatics Convention in Punta del Este, Uruguay is now open for the September 27-29 event.
The first-time Convention will undoubtedly bring together the most influential people involved in aquatic sports from around the world.
In a nod to virtual networking used so prevalently in the 21st century, FINA’s Convention website offers an online networking tool that allows delegates from FINA’s 202 national member federations to contact each other in advance of arriving in Uruguay to pre-plan meetings.
Convention speakers will present lectures covering areas including the Olympic movement, FINA Family, sponsorship, event organization, coaching, athletic performances and media partnerships. Workouts will cover national federations development, new media trends and how to bid for, win and organize successful aquatic events
Media accreditation are available until September 15th and can be requested to Pedro Adrega, Head of FINA’s Communications Department (press@fina.org).
