
Follow The Apolima Strait Swim Live Online

Follow the 22.3 km Apolima Strait Swim to the finish on the AMOA Resort Livetracker here on April 11th, live from Samoa.
The participants will start in the following heats:
5:00 am – Tiffany McQueen and Robin Rose
6:00 am – Christina Harris
6:15 am – Tony McLean and all team relays (Paid for by MEXICO, Team Digicel Tonga, Team Jo Armstrong)
6:30 am – Sitivi So’oa’emalelagi
6:45 am – Paul Feltoe
Last year in the inaugural Apolima Strait Swim (called the Upolu-Savai’i 22.3 km swim), 25-year-old Phillip Ryan won in 5 hours 5 minutes. Abby Armstrong, Bronwen Burmester, Todd Pritchard, and Kate Sinclair followed behind.
Seti Afoa of Samoa Events awarded each of the finishers with Savai’i citizenship that was presented by the Minister for Education Sports and Culture, the Honorable Loau Solamalemalo Keneti Sio. The swimmers also received a Savai’i passport from the Savai’i Tourism Association that included free accommodation and other offers for their return to the island.
The swim is the opening event of the Savai’i Games that includes a 180 km Ride around the Island, a Surf Carnival, and the Savai’i Marathon.
