Chad Ho, a rising star on the global open water swimming scene, proved himself the star of the field with a 10-minute victory in the Telkom South Africa National Open Water 10K Swim in the Midmar Dam this weekend.
Fellow Olympian Natalie Du Toit dominated the field on the women’s side with nearly a 7-minute victory.
Chad will try to rise higher on the podium since his last medal swim, a bronze in the 2009 FINA World Swimming Championships 5K race while Natalie will attempt to do the same since her fourth-place finish in the 2008 World Open Water Swimming Championships.
