Free Ocean Workouts With SCAQ

Free Ocean Workouts With SCAQ

In America, there is no swim team with as many ocean swimmers as SCAQ, Southern California Aquatic Masters Swim Club. The massive adult swimming team is spread far and wide throughout the Los Angeles basin. SCAQ includes courageous ocean swimmer Mary Ellen Koetsier-Farr came to the immediate aid of Steven Robles during a Great White Shark encounter in Manhattan Beach. Right after the encounter that was covered by news outlets from CNN to People Magazine, Robles’ swim group and the SCAQ team jumped right back in the water. Under head coaches Clay Evans [shown above] and Bonnie Adair, SCAQ offers 65 weekly workouts – morning, noon, and night – both in the pool and Pacific Ocean. “SCAQ also offers weekly stroke clinics and ocean workouts as we continue to build up the courage of those petrified to go for ocean swims. We have free Tuesday morning workouts at Hermosa Beach and free Thursday ocean workouts at Santa Monica Beach, both starting at 6 am. We are the only groups with permits for ocean beach workouts and we have Los Angeles County lifeguards and insurance at the beach.” For more information on the free workouts and other clinics, visit here.
