However, ten minutes later due to the staggered start at the Manhattan Island Match Race and Record Attempt, Ollie Wilkinson came broke Rondi’s short-lived record when officials clocked him in 5:44:02 at the 103rd Street finish.
Australia is definitely the tie that binds. Ollie Wilkinson is from Melbourne, while Rondi was educated in Sydney, and Shelley is a native of Perth.
