
Global Open Water Swimming Conference

The 2011 Global Open Water Swimming Conference will be expanded to a 3-day celebration of open water swimming and relocated to New York City.
The Conference will include over 30 sessions led by experts and accomplished individuals in the sport. It will also the World Open Water Swimmers and Performance of the Year ceremonies and the opportunity to watch some of the fastest open water swimmers in the world competing in the 2011 FINA 10K Marathon Swimming World Cup as well as participate in a 2-mile Governors Island Swim if participants so desire.
The Conference schedule will be held between September 9-11 in the historic buildngs on Governors Island, all within view of the Statue of Liberty and lower Manhattan Island and the 2011 FINA 10K Marathon Swimming World Cup and Governors Island Swim.
It will be non-stop action, information, excitement and networking with like-minded open water swimmers, coaches, administrators, race directors and officials from around the world.
