Great Scott With Tom And Christine

Tom Allen and Christine Jennings are picking up confidence, steam and motivation as they head into the Olympic year with earned hard-fought victories in the annual British Gas Great Scottish Swim in Strathclyde Park.

Christine and Olympian Jana Pechanova of the Czech Republic swapped lead positions until Christian edged Jana at the end in 18:06:11 with other Olympians like Swann Oberson (Switzerland) Aurelie Muller (France) and Cassandra Patten (Great Britain) following.

Tom won his fourth British Gas Great Swim title of his career and, like Christine, was buoyed by his result. Tom and Christine, like dozens of other elite swimmers around the world, are now focused on qualifying for the remaining spots at the Olympic 10K Marathon Swim at the 2012 London Olympics.
