Great Scottish swim…What A Honeymoon
Courtesy of WOWSA, Huntington Beach, California. Alexander Studzinski won the Great Scottish Swim, competing with 2,500 other open water swimmers in Loch Lomond yesterday.
It was a fitting farewell to the German marathon swimmer who is now off with his fiancé Beatrix Eisel to Hawaii for their wedding before their Maui Channel Swim. Beatrix, a former world-class butterflyer-turned-open water swimmer/coach/feeder – finished third among the women.
Studzinski (17:15) won in a very close race over German teammate Christian Reichert (17:16) and Chad Ho (17:19) of South Africa in front of a televised audience of STV News.
