The Hard Enemy Of Man

“The Universal Marathon Cold Swimming Association unites the adherents of the remarkable people who struggle with a hard enemy of man: the COLD. We search for the answers to numerous questions, we conduct unique experiments and develop rescue techniques from hypothermia.
We are not afraid of difficulties.”
Evidently not. The Universal Marathon Cold Swimming Association is currently organizing a marathon relay swim of 50 hardened swimmers capable of swimming 680 kilometers (422.5 statute miles) in the 4-7°C (39-44°F) cool waters of Lake Baikal (non-wetsuit). The non-wetsuit lake swim would definitely extend the current lake world record – and under tremendously challenging circumstances.
