
Hassan Baraka Becomes Ice Miler and Ice Ironman

Hassan Baraka completed an Ice Mile on January 21st, becoming the first Moroccan athlete to become an Ice Ironman.
Baraka worked hard to achieve both his Ironman triathlons (Ironman France in 2011 and Ironman Germany in 2012) and his Ice Mile:
The Moroccan is well-known in his native land. He has received the 2015 Tariq Ibnou Zyad Initiative Award, was honored as a Knight of the Order of Ouissam Alaouite, authored La Force de l’Échec (The Force of Failure), serves as an official of the International Ice Swimming Association, organized the first three editions of the Ice Swim In Morocco in Lake Aguelman Azegza, competed at the III IISA Ice Swimming World Championship, competed in the Ultraman Australia (a triathlon of 10 km swim + 421 km cycle + 84 km run and the World Marathon Challenge Running 7 Marathons (295 km) in 7 days (168 hours) on 7 continents, as well as completed two full Ironman Triathlons in France in 2011 (in 13 hours 13 minutes) and in Germany in 2012.
