Jim Anderson of the Hawaiian Christmas Looong Distance Invitational Rough-H2O Swim writes to the Swimming Enthusiast about the famous 7km Double Roughwater that traverses the length of Waikiki Bay down and back from Diamond Head volcano:

For an application to the 2012 Looong Distance Swim, please ask for the registration forms via email directly to waikikijim@aol.com.

Anderson explains, “If you would like to submit an application it would be most appreciated if would use the following four-step process:”

1. Fill in your information using your computer. The objective is for us to be able to read the application. Most swimmers have been traumatized by their doctors and as a result they write like them. If you do not have Acrobat or your computer is uncooperative and will not allow you to type in your data, then print out the form.

2. After you have typed in your information, print out the form. Make sure that you print out the entire application.

3. Sign the application. We like original signatures.

4. Mail the application and don’t forget the check. We have emotional attachment to checks.
