How Do You Apply To A Professional Race?

Because FINA rules apply to the FINA Open Water Swimming Grand Prix circuit races, each athlete receive the approval of their national governing body. For some countries, the process is quite easy. For other countries, it is more complicated.
An application form must be submitted to the local organizing committee with signatures by the athletes and coaches. A medical examination by a local doctor must be passed and participation in the pre-race technical meeting is required.
In exchange, hotel or home stay accommodations and meals are generally provided from a few days before the competition to a few days after the competition. Ground transportation is provided from and to the local airport and to all official meetings or activities scheduled throughout the competition period.
