National Geographic Channel will broadcast the Enigma Man on Thursday, May 10th at 7 pm across the United States. The entertaining and educational show features an open water swimmer with a highly developed, extraordinarily unusual physical and psychological profile.
The show will also start airing in Australia on May 21st. Then, the rest of the world will see what open water swimmers are made up and how they look from the inside.
The show identifies open water swimmers through clues on and inside the body of this charismatic swimmer. In this episode, forensic detectives and scientists employ state-of-the-art techniques and technology in forensic science – mixing in a bit of intuition and some old fashioned educated guesses – to unravel the complex mystery put before them by open water swimmers.
Southern California native, born 1962, is the creator of the WOWSA Awards, Oceans Seven, Openwaterpedia, Daily News of Open Water Swimming and founder of WOWSA. Inductee in the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame (Honor Swimmer, Class of 2001) and Ice Swimming Hall of Fame (Honor Contributor - Media, Class of 2019), recipient of the International Swimming Hall of Fame's Poseidon Award (2016), International Swimming Hall of Fame's Irving Davids-Captain Roger Wheeler Memorial Award (2010).
