
Ice Swimming World Championships 2019 Announcement


Ram Barkai of the International Ice Swimming Association will announce the name of the host city for the Ice Swimming World Championships 2019 on February 26th in Ashburton Hall, Winchester, United Kingdom from 5:30 pm.
The announcement will be livestreamed on Facebook where some of the most elite ice water swimming athletes will attend. Georgie Palmer explains, “People can learn more about this increasingly popular sport that is gaining worldwide recognition.
The press conference and drinks reception will start at 5:30 pm London time with an introduction from local councillor Roy Perry, followed by a short talk by Ram. The panel will include prestigious ice swimmers from around the world and the evening will be attended by both local dignitaries as well as club and ice swimmers.
The World Championships will also be an opportunity to see Ice Swimming exhibited as an aspiring Winter Olympic sport.
In addition, there will be some further exciting news about the IISA World Championship programme and the athlete selection procedure. This is an exclusive opportunity to find out more about Ice Swimming and meet top athletes in a unique environment.“
