The Imaginative Open Water Swimming World

The Imaginative Open Water Swimming World

When we learn about and report all the different open water swimming training sessions, expeditions, camps, events, races solo swims, relays and stage swims around the world, whether short or long, warm or cold, in the Northern or Southern Hemisphere, in the mountains or in the tropics, pro or amateur, we marvel at the ingenuity of the global open water swimming community.

And are reminded of what Albert Einstein once observed:

Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.”

The imagination of open water swimmers, honed through hours, days and years spent with their heads underwater with limited visual clues, is impressively expansive.
