Ioannis Kifonidis, A Man Of The Arts And Open Water

Ioannis Kifonidis is an open water swimmer from Thessaloniki, Greece who is coached by Nikolaos Repanas at the Kalamaria Swimming Pool.

Besides marathon runs and aquathlons, he is the General Secretary of the Helenique Marathon Swimming Club and completed the 26 km International Marathon Swimming Race in Chalkidiki-Greece, the 19 km International Jarak-Šabac Marathon Swim, and swam 26 km over 10 hours in a sports medical experiment for Thessaloniki Aristotelion University.

The actor, director, and screenwriter prolific in Greek theatre, film and television used to work as an anchor man for National Greek Broadcast (ERT3) and directed the Lifeguard: Swim or Die art project in Thessaloniki Concert Hall [shown above].
