Jacques Tuset To Swim Îles Saint-Marcouf

Training in the south of France, Tuset traveled to the 2017 Ice Swimming Aqua Sphere World Championships in Burghausen, Germany to complete his first ice kilometer.
He swam into the outer lane, closest to the encroaching surface ice, and finished in 15 minutes 50 seconds.
Tuset will return to warmer climes this summer as he heads to Morocco, Crete, Italy including a 9 km prison island swim in Normandy from Îles Saint-Marcouf to the beach where the statute of French war hero le maréchal Leclerc is located.
Îles Saint-Marcouf are a group of two small uninhabited islands off the coast of Normandy, France that served as a prison, further adding to his prison island swim career:
Île d’Oléron – La Tremblade, Alcatraz Island, Le Château d’If, Fort Boyard, Robben Island, Cabrera Island – Majorque, Langholmen + Spike Island, Île du Levant, Sainte-Marguerite, Rottnest Island, Tabarca, Île de Brescou, Château du Taureau, Île de Gorée, Salvation Islands: Devil’s, St Joseph’s and Royale, Isla de San Simón, Isola delle Femmine, Drakes Island + Spitbank Fort, Île Mogador, and Devil’s Island.
