Japanese Swims Between Germany And Denmark

40-year-old Yasutaka Kurokawa of Tokyo man successfully swam across the 25K Fehmarn Belt Strait between Germany and Denmark in 6 hours and 24 minutes.

It was really cold. I’m glad I’ve come home alive. I felt several times that it was beyond the limits of my ability. I’d like to thank the people who supported me.”

Similar to the 13 swimmers from USG Copenhagen who crossed in 2009 in 6 hours and 38 minutes as a group, the water can be cold and rough with the water temperature at 17°C (62.6°F)and the waves were as high as 2.5 meters.
