Jeremy Whelchel Wins 25m Breaststroke at the Memphremagog Winter Swim Festival

Phil White reported on the 2022 Memphremagog Winter Swim Festival held in a 25m pool cut in the ice of the frozen Lake Memphremagog in Vermont, USA, “Dominating among the men were Stephen Rouch, now of Kingston, Pennsylvania, Christopher Graefe of Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, and Jeremy Welchel of Walnut, California.  They took first, second and third place in the 200m freestyle, the 25m freestyle, the 50m freestyle, the 100m freestyle, and the 25m butterfly.

But it was 35-year-old Jeremy Whelchel who finally earned the top podium position in the 25m breaststroke race over Rick Born and Christopher Graefe in the 31.9°F (-0.05°C) water.
