Jim Neitz Starts Off The Santa Barbara Channel Season

“Jim’s swim was truly amazing. The water was mostly 57 degrees (F).
“The first hour it seemed like we were stationary off of the west end of Anacapa. That was scary and disheartening at the start, but we all looked forward, and forward Jim managed to swim. It was a small crew of his dad, Jack Neitz as his feeder, Tom Ball as his kayaker and I as his observer. We also had Cap’n Bob and Three-ring Mike on the Tuna Thumper.”
