Joe Dowd Swimming Upstream Without A Paddle
Joe Dowd announced the
annual July 4th Firecracker 8000. “It’s time again to brave Lake Natoma…all of it,” he encourages those who wish to swim 4.5 miles upstream in chilly water in northern California.But this year, Mother Nature has taken some of the chill and current off the agenda for Dowd and the rest of the swimmers who are swimming “in reverse”. “The water temperature already warmed up to 68°F (20°C) and the current is weak.”
