The Outdoor Swimming Society is organising another Dart 10K, an Olympic marathon distance swimming event, down the River Dart on September 22nd.
The downstream 10K swim, that sells out quickly, in England takes the swimmers downstream through the rolling hills of Devon to the small waterside village of Dittisham.
With wetsuits mandatory and an emphasis on participation, the event exactly fits the mantra and mission of the Outdoor Swimming Society. But for those who are capable and competitive in the anticipated 12-15°C (54-59°F) water, exceptions are made.
