Karen Parnell is an ASA– and WOWSA-certified open water swimming coach. She is also British Triathlon Federation Level 3 Triathlon and IRONMAN® certified coach from Spain [see here].

She offers 1 km, 5 km and 10 km open water swimming plans, dryland swimming plans, tethered swimming plans, and triathlon plans from her training center near Málaga in southern Spain. She explains, “I believe in a holistic approach to training. For continuous progress and great race results, more is needed than just hours on the bike, in the pool or out on the track. Great performance is only possible if you stay injury free (pre-hab), get all the healthy nutrition you need, allow your body and mind enough recovery time and know some mental tips and tricks to stay strong when the going gets tough.”

For more information about her ChiliTri camp, visit www.chilitri.com.

Parnell describes Chili Tri as “a camp nestled in the Tejeda and Almijara mountains overlooking the wonderful Costa del Sol coastline. We offer you a truly unique triathlon training experience which is limited to small groups of athletes. By limiting the numbers, we are able to offer exactly what you require during your stay with us. Choose from our standard daily activity schedule or a la carte training sessions which meet the needs of your periodised training plan and personal goals. We offer fully coached camps with on-site accommodation, one-to-one coaching, online coaching, full swim video analysis, training plans and the Chilitri Team.”
