Kirsten Read Cruising In The Open Water

Kirsten Read, with one really cool logo designed by Mitch Lopata of Skokie, Illinois, is the founder and head of KGR Coaching in Kennebunk, Maine.

At the age 40, Brown University alumna began open water swimming and set off on a career of open water swimming while she still competes for Great Bay Masters.

Her experience is vast with the 2.3-mile Peaks to Portland Swim, 2.4-mile Nubble Light Challenge, 3 km FINA World Masters Championships Montreal, USMS Lake Placid 2-mile Cable National Championships, 1.5 km Sharkfest Boston, Bermuda Round the Sound, 1.7-mile Save the Bay Rhode Island, 4.4-mile Great Chesapeake Bay Swim, 5 km Kingdom Swim, 1-mile Salem Swim & Fin, Salem Wild Fish, 2 Bridges, Big Shoulders Chicago, 7.5 km Amesbury Lost Sailor 1m Wayland, 3-mile Merrimack River, 2-mile KBIA Cove, Against the Tide among other swims under her trusty swim cap.
