La Patagones Viedma 2012 Results

During a year she is taking time off from Yale University, she is making up some good air mileage and training mileage in the hopes that she makes the USA Olympic team.
She improved upon last year’s extremely close third-place finish in Viedma when she won by a comfortable 8-second victory over American teammate Haley Anderson. Eva pulled away from a strong field with 600 meters to go followed by Haley who was followed by a tight pack of Nadine Reichert, Angela Mauer and Ana Marcela Cunha.
On the men’s side Spyridon Gianniotis is now two-for-two in his Olympic year campaign against the top professional marathon swimmers in the world on the 2012 World Cup circuit. Like his victory in Santos, Brazil last week, this victory also came down to a sprint.
This time, the cagey veteran from Greece out-dueled young Richard Weinberger done the final stretch. Richard’s second-place finish followed up on his earlier victory on Thursday’s 1.6K Negro River Sprint race.
