2010 Laureus Award Goes To Natalie du Toit
Courtesy of WOWSA, Huntington Beach, California. Natalie du Toit won the 2010 Laureus Disability Award at a star-studded ceremony yesterday. Natalie, who placed 16th in the Olympic 10K Marathon Swim at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and won five gold medals in the 2008 Paralympics, is one of only five athletes to have competed in the Paralympics and Olympics.
An award well-deserved for one of the world’s true heroines who truly is an inspiration for all individuals from every walk of life.

Southern California native, born 1962, is the creator of the WOWSA Awards, Oceans Seven, Openwaterpedia, Daily News of Open Water Swimming and founder of WOWSA. Inductee in the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame (Honor Swimmer, Class of 2001) and Ice Swimming Hall of Fame (Honor Contributor - Media, Class of 2019), recipient of the International Swimming Hall of Fame's Poseidon Award (2016), International Swimming Hall of Fame's Irving Davids-Captain Roger Wheeler Memorial Award (2010).
