Live Long And Prosper In The Open Water

Live Long And Prosper In The Open Water

The 1st International Masters Open Water Swim Race (第1回国際マスターズOWS弓ヶ浜大会開催) is a charity swim in Japan’s beautiful Izu National park for the tsunami relief.

Three events are held in Yumigahama Beach (800-meter, 3K and a 2K relay) in the quiet, unspoiled, uncrowded town of Mizumi Izu.

In keeping with the healthy lifestyle of the Japanese where the lifespan of its citizens is longer than other countries, the age group awards provided for the coastal swim by the Japan International Open Water Swimming Association certainly span the longevity of the typical Japanese: under 18 years old, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 5-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-75, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90-94 and 95+.
