Liz Fry keeps getting better and better.

Her recent exploits at the 2015 S.C.A.R. Swim Challenge mirrored her successes from the English Channel to around Manhattan Island.

She swam 133.8 km in a 4-day stage swim – making another stamp on open water swimming history.

In 2011 at the age of 52, Fry took 24 hours 39 minutes to complete a two-way crossing of the English Channel. Incredibly, she swam 13 hours 20 minutes to France, took a very short break on the French shore, and then swam back to England in a fast 11 hour 19 minute effort.

In 2011, she was the first person to complete a double Ederle Swim, a 35-mile swim from Manhattan Island to New Jersey and back.

In 2009 at the age of 50, Fry smashed the record for swimming clockwise (“the hard way”) around Manhattan Island when she completed the course in 11 hours 41 minutes, breaking the old mark by over 6 hours.
