LVL – The First Wearable Hydration Monitor

In general, there are few sports where its athletes and enthusiasts know as much about water as open water swimmers.
But that does not necessarily mean that open water swimmers are properly hydrated while training or on dryland.
There is a wearable solution to monitoring one’s hydration levels.
Kit Rich, a renowned trainer to American celebrities, explained why LVL, a wearable hydration monitor, is advantageous. “By drinking more water, you will have more energy [for working out]. And when you workout, you will have better endurance if you are better hydrated. Your joints and muscles do not hurt as much and you will be more rested with proper hydration.”
LVL (pronounced “level”) is a wearable hydration monitor that gives its users a comprehensive picture of their health by tracking their hydration levels, activity, sleep, mood and heart rate. LVL by BSX Athletics in Austin, Texas is one of the most popular and highly funded projects on Kickstarter (see here). To date, 5,943 people provided US$934,618 to BSX Athletics of development of the LVL.
