Mann Enough To Beat The Aussie In Hawaii
Becca Mann, the youngest Olympic Trials finalist (in various events) and a top
American open water swimmer, will head over to Honolulu this year. Mann will try to stem the Aussie tide and win the perenially tough Waikiki Roughwater Swim.
But FINIS’ Luane Rowe of Australia is no going out without s fight. The four-time defending champion (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011) has owned the stretch of beach on Oahu in dominant fashion. It should be a great race in 2012.
A local or American swimmer has not won the Waikiki Roughwater Swim since Emma Berry in 2007.
